The beginning of the new millennium brought Delta Zeta challenges with declining numbers in recruitment and the continuation of many members leaving for study abroad programs, but the chapter focused on maintaining its scholastic success and built unity with old and new traditions. The college has made available many alternative study-spaces on campus, which sisters are effectively utilizing. The girls decided not to throw out Kappa ideals but to give them new focus through individual and collective action. 2016 was a very successful year for the Delta Zeta chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at Colorado College. Its colors are Old Rose and Nile Green, its mascot is the turtle, the symbol is the Roman Lamp, its stone is the Diamond, and the six strengths are self, social, sisterhood, scholarship, service, and standards.
